The students are actively involved in reading here at Kemp Intermediate. 

We believe that reading is the key to success in all other subjects. 

Kemp students will be required to read and test on books according to their grade level. 

Fourth grade students must read and test on at least 2 chapter books per six weeks.

Fifth and sixth grade students must read and test on at least 3 chapter books per six weeks.

The more the students read, the more they will improve. 

Help us help your child by reading with them or reminding them to read at home.
